While playing Age of Mythology: Retold, players will need to pick a specific civilization (either Greek, Egyptian, Norse, or Atlantean) and follow the story to build up their civilization in a world where Gods and monsters rule the lands.

Since the Gods are involved, players will need to pick a major God of their civilization to worship and use in order to enhance their towns and create a larger empire. Here is a breakdown of all the Gods and their powers.

Some minor Gods cannot be unlocked until players progress to the next Age.
